What an exciting day to be at BEU! Happy first day everyone!

Sam Steffins: My name is Sam Steffins and I will be working with your child this year. I am extremely excited about being your child’s teacher and I am looking forward to a year of learning, fun, and adventures. I can’t wait to hear all about your child and your family, but first I will tell you a little about me. I was born in Springfield, Missouri and moved to Columbia to attend Mizzou for the past 4 years. I graduated in May and this will be my first year in CPS. Though this is my first year officially teaching, I have been working with children my entire life. My mother has had an in-home daycare for 15 years where I have learned about all types of children ages 2 weeks- 12 years old. I also have worked at Apple School in Columbia the past four years and I did my student teaching at Parkade Elementary. I have so much passion for teaching and will go to the ends of the earth to make sure my students are successful. This is going to be an exciting year and I can’t wait to meet you!
